Replacement Airbag Contact Reel (Clock Spring)

This part requires a specific fitting procedure and a basic overview of this process is below. If in any doubt whatsoever we recommend professional installation to be carried out for this product.
1, Centre the steering wheel straight ahead.
2, Disconnect the car battery and wait 30 minutes for the network to completely shut down, and in case of static discharge .
3, Remove airbag and old clock spring.
4, Install the new clock spring.
5, Remove the transport securing screw and turn the clockspring clockwise until you reach the stop.
6, Now turn the clockspring back counter-clockwise by the number of turns indicated on the yellow warning sticker on the new part.
7, Align the mark on the clock spring with the mark on the outer housing.
8, Reinstall the steering wheel and airbag.
9, Reconnect the car battery.
If any stored fault codes still exist in the car's ecu then these would need to be cleared using Tech2 or a similar workshop system.
Important! Any part which suffers a broken contact tape failure resulting from incorrect positioning during fitting will not be covered by manufacturer warranty.
